Reviews of Remedy Laser
- Sam McDowell Added February 28, 2023★ ★ ★ ★ ★I’d been experiencing blocked ears for a couple of years until yesterday when the Dr and his awesome team managed to unblock my ears using the micro suction. (I was starting to think they would become impossible to unblock) Thank you, I look forward to going back.
- Danielle Assuncao Added February 22, 2023★ ★ ★ ★ ★Highly recommended. The doctor offer to see me after hours due to the pain I had in my ear. It turned out to be a very long appointment and he didn’t seem to be in a hurry or rushing to go home. He was very patient and professional.
- Annette Newman Added February 19, 2023★ ★ ★ ★ ★My husband who was down I Sydney on business had a very blocked ear which was causing him to lose sleep. We made an appointment online & got in on the same day. The staff were awesome. So friendly & welcoming. Very professional nurse & doctor who took the time to get the job done properly. Would even travel the three & a half hours to have it done again if needed.
- Tri-Anh Nguyen Added February 13, 2023★ ★ ★ ★ ★ADORE the Ear Microsuction!!!! I came in being so anxious and lost of balance due to Left Ear Completed blockage & Right Ear Inflammation. Not Only Dr. helps me clear out all the gunks and recover immediately after the treatment, he calmed me down before hand and take a diligent step to examine both ears. He took out a strand of Hair on my right ear that causing all the issue. I have never felt better.
- Sandy Wai Added February 03, 2023★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆Booked ear microsuction for my daughter to remove ear wax. Had a doctor checked then he let a nurse to do the suction. It would be fine if the nurse is professional but very disappointedly, the nurse looks like she has none hands-on experience. She even doesn't know how to the microscope, she couldn't see a thing clearly! Even though she knows the ear structure in theory, I hope she does know, but if she couldn't see things clearly, how can she know if she is breaking the ear drum or not? I can't risk my daughter's life long hearing for a nurse to have lesson!
Customer is not a specimen for student to practice. In science class, students practice with dead specimen but not living body. If the doctor want to let the nurse learn or practice, he can't use a customer as a specimen, he should use a model, or the staffs in that clinic but not a customer who pay for it! It's fine if a doctor implement the operation and verbally teach the nurse but letting the nurse, without experience, implement the operation is definitely unacceptable! The microsuction costs $180, if the doctor pay me $180 to let my daughter be a specimen, it's far not enough to risk her life long hearing!
Super terrible experience I have ever had. Luckily, I immediately stopped the nurse and requested the doctor to do the operation. So I highly not recommend this clinic, better do it in a proper ENT clinic. No next time.
FOLLOW-UP:
Received an email from the doctor after this comment, saying the nurse is a trainee and didn’t know I wasn’t notified. YES, no one told me about this and as a doctor you should notify me when you came into the room. The doctor offered to refund me, but I have to state clearly money is not a problem in this incident. Following is my reply to his email.
MY REPLY:
First of all, I had never ever been told there were trainee nurse(s). The nurses only asked me about questions about patient background. Secondly, I wasn’t told that the nurse operated.
The amount of money is not a problem at all, I’m willing to pay more if the service worth it. The main point I wanted to state is you shouldn’t treat a patient to be a specimen or learning/practice tools for your nurses, unless they are up to a certain level of knowledge. Operating the microscope is the very basic skill that they need before coming up to a patient. This is unacceptable. Frankly speaking, under the circumstances of not being notified there was a trainee nurse, it is not acceptable that you taught and demonstrated to your nurse on that day. You guys spent us too much time that we had schedule after that appointment.
I would suggest to you, for a trainee without any experience, you should teach them how to operate the instrument and tools first. Then let them try on model ear. After they can manipulate the instrument and tools well, try on YOUR STAFFS first. Once they became confident and up to the skill, the next step will be demonstration (not doing the operation) in real patient session. Keep practicing with your own staffs, when up to certain skill level, the next step is instructed operation on patient. THIS IS THE PROPER PROCEDURE OF TRAINING A TRAINEE. Your way is totally wrong, unacceptable and with no ethics and morality.
