  The Great Northern Hotel is located on the corner of Pacific Highway and Mowbray Road in Chatswood. Parking is available around the back of the hotel in Bowen Street.
  On arriving you will notice that all entrances are block except for the entrance on Pacific Highway. This is so to ensure that all visiting patrons sign-in to assist COVID-19 tracing if required. The hotel provides free WiFi.
  The hotel has daily meal specials. As I went on a Tuesday, I had the $15 steak with chips. On Monday, a roast is available for $10 and they have $13 burgers on Friday. I'm not sure what the T&C's are - you might have to join to get these specials. I went with a friend who was already a member. Membership costs $10. An à la carte menu is also available.
  The food was OK, as pub food goes. I'd recommend it.
  The Great Northern Hotel provided a safe and friendly environment to spend a leisurely lunch.

  Great beer garden, friendly staff and the food is pretty good. Not a particularly amazing beer selection but something for most tastes. Given the location I was pleasantly surprised. It's my girlfriend's local so I go a fair bit. Definitely worth a look.

  Travelled from The Hunter Valley last week and totally enjoyed our evening watching Origin. 10 out of 10 to Tom Newell the trainee, great personality who couldn't help us enough, i hope he is running the show in 5 years time. See you again on Wednesday night, Up The Blues

  I felt the the inside of the pub as well as the food was quite good. Many of the meals on the menu around $20. They looked and tasted good too. The inside is pretty nice, the only thing I think that could have been better was the distinct lack of quality craft beers. They had over 15 beers on tap and almost all were your generic mass produced stuff. Their bottled beer list wasn't huge either with some Asahi and the likes. Would I come back sure for the food. Would I go their because I want to try their beers, probably not. All in all pretty good all the same. Also has an on prem bottle-o on your way out the door.

  Horrible place. Mostly full of drunk footballers. Was kicked hard by one of the bar staff as she ran through the bottleshop to get more booze for the above mentioned. She did not even stop to acknowledge me. Just kept on running with a garbled supposed meaningless apology delivered with her back to us.. Expensive meat considering that you have to grill yourself as well. NEVER AGAIN.There are much better pubs in the area that do not employ young scatter brain staff with no manners.
